Who got 5% all around?

Whattssss up mother fuckers!! :good:

Haha nah, but whats up with SMD. Title says it all pretty much. My current car has 20% all 3 back. I was wondering if anyone here has 5% all around (all 5 windows excluding front windshield). My main question is.... how hard is it to drive at night with 5% all around? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm assuming having a wall is almost like the same as 5% tinted windows as night as they both affect our blind spots and I see 50% of yall driving perfectly fine with a wall. But I feel my side mirrors are more IMPORTANT than my rear-view but then again, who knows.

I just want to know if your driving is affected at night due to 5% tint (example, have to roll down windows in order to see side mirror).
I was going to get 15% up front and 5% for all 3 back but if 5% isn't that bad (which I heard IT IS bad, sort of), I'll do all 5%. Thanks. If anyone has any 15% tint too, is there a big difference between 15 and 20?

Thanks :)

P.S. Reviving the "tint" section: Attempt #1 :help: :help:

BTW: If this matters, it wont be for my current car. Will be for my next (V36 G35) which I hopefully plan to have within a week.

I have 5% on all windows (Tahoe) and I have no problem driving at night. I do roll the window down when backing up to see the mirrors better but that is it.

Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born.

My penis is bigger than your penis

I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

Is it legal in your state to have 5% up front? And can you still see outside at night without rolling down your windows? I just want to make sure Im able to look before switching lanes without rolling down my window ( if its raining or something ). That was probably my biggest concern when getting 5% up front. I dont want to do "extra" work each time I have to double-check lanes haha. Thanks for the input

im not really sure if its legal or not. They don't make a big deal about it here. I don't think it is actually. As for seeing at night I don't have a problem switching lanes or seeing other cars rain or what not. Its just the parking lot backing up stuff cause of how close cars can be is when I roll the window down.

Okay. cause its illegal in mine, but same thing, they worried about killers and shit and more less on tint. If I have a back-up camera, will this help eliminiate / reduce this issue? I might haev to get the 5% just because with 15%, you can still see in during the day. If I'm understanding correct, its just pretty much you have to roll down the window when u are parking is the main "problem", if you want to call it that, that you have with 5% tint.

i have 5% on my front windows, i have no problem when it is raining to see what is going on around me. but at night if not much lights on i do have to roll windown down in certain situations.

Hmm. Okay. I might get it then. Cause 5% all around looks crazy smooth to me personally

i have 5% in the rears and it is more difficult to see. the only way you know there are cars there is by the lights. if there is a car with no lights you can get in an accident.. city streets with lights there are no issues. freeways is another story.. its pitch black at times. i always do double takes to switch lanes

i wish i could do that i would in 2 seconds flat. I have 5% rear and 30% front on all my cars....50% on the windshield of a few of them. I get hassled a lot. Knock on wood though, the one car i never got a tinted window ticket in was the Tahoe. Ive gotten at least 4 in the Lexus alone. Never took it off though.

My biggest concern is most likely the freeway. City isnt bad as most of my city is well lit by street lights. But I'm thinking of freeway mainly. I usually always double take when switching lanes, but I wanna be comfortable when driving on the freeway as I am now. Do you need to get used to it in order to feel comfortable again or since in reality, no matter how much you get used to it, its still 5% and affects our visiblity no matter what. (EDIT: Realized you only had front. I have 20% in back now, so I do need a lil insight on how it is with the rearview. But for the comfortable question, is it like having a wall at night with 5% in the back (as you can't see anything pretty much besides lights)

VERY TRUE. Us Californians 8) have it bad with our no tinting front windows law -_- I always thought officers would respect nicer cars with front tint (your lexus ISF) but I guess not. If I am correct, the fix-it ticket is 25-50$ with a 60-90 day time period to remove it? If thats the case, its not a big deal to me. Do you think the 30% is better than 20% look-wise or do you just do that to try and slim down the chances of getting pulled over for "dark" tints.

And this forum is the shiiiiiiiiiiiit
