reedal
My first amp ever was a shitty pyramid amp similar to yours, and my recommendation, get your money back and buy a real amp. As for big three, yes, when you add equipment that draws more amperage than what was intended, you should upgrade power and grounds Quote SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=

reedal
Advantages: more current flow for the extra current draw that adding an after market sound system requires from alternator/battery Quote SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=
LazyAF
I thought the big 3 didn't truly accomplish much until after you have at least a better alternator? Quote ^Me irl

Jtdiaster
Is an audiopipe apcl 15001d amp a good amp? Will it be able to handle 2 sa 12 600 watt each?
stipek
Meh...and its the subs that need to handle the amp. Clipped signal and low voltage are major factors to failed equipment, especially sub-par equipment so in your case get as many volts as you can and a big 3 would help with that, would need to for future upgrades anyway. reedal
I doubt that audiopipe is any better than the pyramid. About 25 cents per a watt is a good place to start in my book (not always). Take the rated rms power of that amp, multiply by .25, and if the price is $75 or less below that then it's definitely a waste of money. Just my opinion and way of looking at things. Doesn't necessarily speak for the actual quality. But usually things that work better cost more Quote SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=
JakeMN
I'd definitely say do the big 3.. Less stress on everything and it doesn't hurt.. It'll make a difference with what you're running.
