So.. I've been off doing life and college stuff, and I decided to rebuild my accord once more. This time I'm pulling out all of the stops. She will be ready for heatwave 2015 and as of right now, all I have left is to finish collecting my wire and then start the rebuild.

I'll update with pics shortly, but essentially the rebuild will have

1 B2 audio Zero1 @ .25ohms (may switch to a zero.7 @ 1ohm in the future)

2 B2 audio Quattro (one bridged on the midbass, one running my 3's and tweets)

1 80prs (that will be totally only used as a volume control lol)

1 prototype B2 DSP (similar to a mosconi 6to8) 31band eq per each of its 8channels, time allignment, 8v line outs, optical input, and a while bunch of awesome features that I'll likely have spend weeks tuning.

2 custom built B2 CC 12's with TI baskets, ceramic coated d1ohm coils, and XL leads

B2 audio ref6.1 midbass in the doors

Dd aw3" midrange in the A pillars

Dd at28 tweeters in the A pillars

All 2/0 welding cable

All stinger wire from 4ga to 18ga (since I work at a shop and it's easy)

Xs power d3400 under the hood

Xs power d3100 in the back

DC power 270xp

80sq feet of second skin damplifer pro (replacing every bit of my audio technix 60mil except the foam and audio technix above my headliner)

45 sq feet of luxury liner pro

36 sq feet of overkill pro

The enclosure will be about 4.6 cubes after displacements, 12sq inches of port per cube, tuned to around 31hz sealed off firing forward. The goals are to have a 150db trunk build (outlaw) in the 30's (current build peaks at 34hz) that cannot be localized from the outside due to all the deadener, and has a SQ front stage and that I can play all day long.

So there it goes, let's see who is interested and I'll post pics up. Pics of my current build are ready, and so are my first pics of deadening my front doors. Tear down is coming in about 2 weeks time.

It will be fine. It's at .3 right now. I am just concerned about he amp reaching the limits of its rails on the dynamics and having an increase in distortion. The zero1 can pretty much be wired into a dead short for burps. It has one of the strongest pcb's and its board was derived from one of the most winningest 3.5ks ever (rd 5) then reworked to be bulletproof from 12v to 14v.

Over here in central Texas b2 is popular and since I'm good friends with the owner Jay and the american rep jack that's all I run. The zero1 was pretty much hand designed by jack and the zero1/zero.5 are about as unbreakable of a 3.5k board as you can make. B2 is solid stuff, but the zero1 / zero.5 in particular are in another class by the self. I'd never take any of their other amps below .5 daily besides maybe the zero.7 (which was a attempt to re create the zero1 / zero.5 on a 5.5k board)

N8, how are the tfe's treating you? I got to see one the other day in person, the power input section got hot as shit... Easily 130f+ but he was demoing for a half hour at a time. The m1uR is the same board as the tfe but it has been reworked to be up to b2 standards... I'm curious to see how they perform. Cameron loya will be sure to put 2 of them and his 4 XM 15's through their paces at heatwave.

I has a Zero.1

This makes me happy to hear. I got a good price on it too since I bought it "used"... Ill be running it at 1ohm though

Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born.

My penis is bigger than your penis

I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

They are beast amps man. Im not saying you NEED to run them low to get power... they are fine between .5 and 1ohm all day any day as long as you dont try to ground them to a potato and use a hamster as your power source.

Give them good electrical and they will go on for ever.

Quick story... The first day i got my zero1, i was in houston and i forgot a drill bit in one of my terminal cups. I was wired to .5, but my voltage is always kept 13.4+ and i never clip my music.

Anyways, my TM1 showed my zero1 at 130f (which it never has done in the last year of owning it) and i called jack sisco and asked if they run hot. He said no and that i should investigate. Essentially i was dead shorting my zero1 for 3 hours at .5ohms on music and she got hot / yelled at me a little, but since that day she has never skipped a beat.

Ill be posting some updates here in a few :)

Here is a video of my current build in action. It peaks really low but i only have about 3.7 cubes for both the 12's and 9.8 sq inches of port per cube tuned to 34. That will all be fixed soon. You might also notice the lack of flex. Well... Ive done a TON of work to make sure the doors/roof do not flex and that she is as well sealed off as possible.

Here is a video showing off the front stage. It has the DD aw6.5's in the doors and the AT28's high in the door panel. I have about 100RMS going to each mid and about 60 ish going to each tweet, 100% active through the 80prs. It is time aligned, and i have copious amounts of work to deaden the doors sufficiently to have zero rattle. It really does sound great.

But, as described above this will turn into a full 3 way. Ill have about 250rms going to each mid bass, 100rms going to each midrange, and about 50-60 rms to the tweeters using 2 quattro's all active on my prototype b2 DSP.

NIce work. I thought I could run my dd amps at .25 as well. Burps sure. But music it sounded horrible and sometimes would not stay on. Good luck on your low impedance endeavors

For sure daniel. Ive seen them play plenty of times in musical builds at low impedance, but i also feel like my ear is a little more discerning. I have full confidence that it will stay on with out protection, and i have full confidence that it will be perfectly fine... I'm just not sure if they rails can handle that much power and still maintain control over the cone on music. I know they will on burps easy. That is also why i said i may have a zero.7 at 1ohm after its all said and done. i do have a second zero1 in my house i could use for heatwave if need be, but I'm sure jack and jay will trade me for an upgrade.
