no. pioneer is fine. it's only when people unplug and plug in rcas when the headunit is on. causing a very tiny "pico" fuse to blow, which is what probably caused your issue

With you on this. I have never had an issue with RCAs on any of pioneer units.

Never had a grounding issue with mine either.

OP, Pulling an RCA with voltage going through it is asking for a short (no matter what head unit). Only connect/disconnect RCA's with the car & head unit off to avoid future problems. And anything else that carries voltage
