I wont be "finishing it" just yet...have to get it in and hear it first. There will be some trim pieces around the front to help seal it off from the trunk (I made this almost exactly sized to fit the opening, there is very little space around the box). This will be oriented opposite of the first box; that one fires into the trunk, this one will fire into the cabin and back seat.

Once its in, you won't be able to see the top or bottom, it'll be all hidden from sight.

Encountered a small issue when purchasing additional new sub...the dust caps were different.

New sub has dome shaped cap with flat white letters...

But old sub had flat dustcap with raised black letters..

I need them to match...so I contact DC to find out what I can do.

Rusty totally hooked me up with a new dome dust cap and some glue...

I've never done any work to a driver before, but what the hell, its only paper and glue

Got everything spaced and used some tape for reference to make sure its symmetrical...just placed the dome dust cap over the flat one (Rusty said its so light there will be no impact to performance)

then glued it up...All done!

I built the box based on a template I made so I knew it would fit snug into the opening with very little room around the box (easier to seal off)...

I had not even thought about how deep the sub box was when building, I assumed it would fit as it wasn't much larger than the first box...the first time I test fit it, the box wouldn't go straight in. Fuuuuuuccckkk!

Problem quickly solved, though, it needs a slight angle and a twist to get through the trunk opening.

Anyway, here it is in the car...

I'm thinking............WIN!
