aculous
So I have been looking around for a nice full range amp that puts out a lot of power but has low distortion etc etc. (went with two zapcos for the time being) Most of the amps I look at the most power they can put out is around 100w-160watts RMS into 4ohms. Respectable but I am looking at something more in the range of 300-600w RMS at 8ohms. (Currently I have a Orion xtr 475 that puts down 175w at 8 ohms) I can get my hands on a QSC pro audio amp and I was wondering if anyone has run a pure sine inverter and pro audio gear with success. I would think distortion and noise could be issues. (as I side note I know I can run a higher ohm driver (load) on a lower ohm amp. Thats not the issue I just want to get the most out of the gear I have and am having problems with high power levels at full range output)

Broke_Audio_Addict
The other option I would look at is a couple big 2 channel's. I think that trying to run the pro audio amps with the inverter cold turn out to be more hassle then it's worth. Team Bassick - Kimo
You really want to look at the THD over RMS when you talking about power.... Look into the new Encore amps coming out..... Zapco is a good way to go but, you will need a bunch if you are running at 8ohm all the way. I have some ARC 4200SE with sweet 16 mods they are four channels but, I use them as two. Funny most 4 channels put out better bridged power then their matching 2 channels do most of the time. White Lightning
You will draw too much current for that inverter. Even with massive battery power Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? Try Here ... aculous
You will draw too much current for that inverter. Even with massive battery power yea I looked at the spec sheet and it said 6.3a at 1/8th power. Not sure I can really just multiply by 8...but yea. (can you tell I am not a math whiz) But yea I was worried about power consumption. I think I am abandoning this...
White Lightning
you dip off into the deepend and pick up Linear Power, you won't run into problems lime this ...
