I recently installed my morel hybrid speakers, and the drivers side stops working. shortly after that a capacitor blows out in the crossover. I checked all wires and they where fine can someone please give me some info on what could have caused this problem.

Bi-amping your component set removes issue with the passive crossover...as far the driver goes...it could be a blown speaker, or a bad connection...make sure all your wires are connected properly first...if all wiring is good, then check the speaker with a dmm and see if it reads an impedance close to what the driver is rated for...if the impedance is jumping around and not staying at the same number, then it is likely blown...this could be caused by overpowering it or a clipped signal.
