Thanks for responding so quickly! well, the 15 itself is $480 cheapest ive found, and i never had a budget, trying to stay as cheap as possible though with my part time job, i was looking at this amp because i want to have max rms avaliable.http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-ORION-HCCA25001-Mono-Car-Amplifier-HCCA-Competition-Series-2500-Watt-/111654406686 also with this mono and sub, will i need another battery/alternator? im already getting a cap...one more thing, what is a good cap thats relatively cheap, ive been looking everywhere and everyone has many pros and many cons. My car is an 03 crown victoria in case you were wondering about trunk space or anything else

So looks like the pockets are deep. Why not go with Rockford if you like ol'skool stuff such as Orion. I didn't like Orion back in the day btw.

that item has been removed or not available....I wouldn't get the cap, just upgrade your main battery first, the big 3, also browse through the for sale section, alot of good products on there...plus are you stuck on Orion....

no im not stuck on orion, i just want a loud clear system without breaking the bank, im just looking at one 15 right now, and about $1000-1100 for sub/amp/wiring

so here a couple websites you can browse, how bout your door speakers/front stage, are you going to upgrade them as well? So figure out your equipment first, then figure out your electrical after...

yeah im upgrading door speakers at the moment. also going to get a alpine 145bt because i like there sub control and the menus overall. the show time electronics has dad bd's or orions for 15" subs. i think i am going to stick with the orion, just seems like the best bang for buck, unless theres a better 15 for $480. so back to first thing, would that amp work good with the hcca 15.2?

A new alternator is going to be half that budget. If you are just going to stick with the stock alternator for now, i'd recommend a SoundQubed HDC315 or Fi Audio BL15. For the amplifier, a Crescendo S1500.1.

If you are able to get a high output alternator, i'd suggest looking into a Fi SP4 15 or SoundQubed HDC415, they are under rated and both of them can take 3.5-4K RMS. The cheapest amplifier i'd look at is something like an American Bass VFL175.1.
