Hondaguy12
Is there something out there that I can coat my box to give it a seamless or plastic look? I don't want to carpet nor just use regular paint plus I can't do either very well anyway.
Broke_Audio_Addict
Duratex or truck bed liner. It's still going to take a lot of time and body work if you want to hide all the seams and imperfections. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Skullz
You can use vinyl wrap to cover the box with if you feel a bit creative. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Hondaguy12
I doubt I could vinyl wrap very smoothly. If I got the truck bed liner in a can, does it still texture? I was kind of hoping for a more smoother finish. I am of course going to use a sander and filling compound first. Then again I suppose flat black paint might be ok if I can seal up the wood first so it doesn't soak in, it's just not as durable. This will be in a hatchback, so I wanted it looking nice but still be able to toss stuff in the back without gouging it. Carpet has this tendency to grab every particle known to man and display it like a neon light...for some reason, it bothers the crap out of me. prodigal_son
Skim coat it in body putty and gel coat it like a boat, or take it and get it Line Xed. The Line X will have some texture, but it won't show every scratch.
