RooTxBeeR
Article: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/watchdog/ct-berwyn-dui-checkpoints-met-20150920-story.html This town is right next to me, and I even remember going through this checkpoint last year. It's just funny, they made 1700+ citations on this checkpoint and only 1% where DUI's. Even the DOT said they weren't following the rules. I am just glad I didn't get told to move over because they really wouldn't have liked me, one bit lol. They way they did the checkpoint was really bogus, they turned the lights of 1 intersection on a main road to flash the red light, it's a 4 way stop. Then a block down in every direction, they placed officers at each corner to spot and call out violations or suspicious vehicles. What really makes me mad about this, is that they needed a increased budget to cover the overtime for this to happen, just to make their quota. Instead of actually doing their jobs on a daily basis, finding these people like they normally should. Lakeshow94
My only issue with things such as these is a dui is typically completely at officer discretion. Don't get me wrong, if someone blows a .15 and can barely walk they are better off not behind the wheel but alot of people get popped for the same charge in completely different situations. I've had buddies that blew a .04 and have been tagged with a dui. Same consequences as the guy that blew a .35 except completely different situations................. 1999 Lexus GS 300 Pioneer DEH-80PRS Singer 240 Amp (Will be installed later) Northstar Group 31 & 24 Sundown SCV-4000 Rockford T400-4 2 12" CT Sound Meso CT Sounds 6.5 Meso Components CT Sounds Tropo 6.

The deputies near hear know that I only hand over my papers if I was accused of a crime...
