Aistis Šestakauskas
Hello everyone. I am trying to build a box tuned to 30 Hz for three Ground zero GZRW 30 XSPL D2 speakers. I believe best box size is 180 liters, but i don't know what size slot port should be. can anyone help me? Number of drivers : 3 subwoofer Xmax = 40 mm thank you! edit: Is it okay, if i will use 400 cm^2 vent area?
daimer
I think it will be small. Use something like 500-600 cm^2 for a slot port. U can also go a bit higher on box volume if you have the space. And now i am planning about 240l box
daimer
I know the specs of the speaker, and that is definitely not xmax. I don't know what it is, actually. But it's not the linear xmax, nor the mechanical limits of the driver. Max mexhanical is a little bit over 50mm peak-to-peak.Yes, I think you'll be okay with that much port. Just don't do it too narrow. And again, 60 litres for this driver and this tuning won't be enough if you want to get the most out of it. Also, flare your ports as much as you can!
