walwalka
I'm starting a new build now, some of the old parts will be reused but I'm going for a cleaner, better sounding, smaller setup this time. The old setup was just killer on the suspension of the car and it had to go. New equipment: Kenwood DDX371 DC Audio 90.4 DC Audio 1.2k Crescendo RTS-1 tweeters Silver Flute 6.5's Fi SSD 12 knukonceptz 1/0 OFC Sky High Car Audio RCA, speaker wire, ring terminals, primary wire XS power D5100R Northstar NSB-AGM24M DC Power 180amp HP series alternator Audio Technix 60mil deadener I need to cover these sections up, I'm going to try and buy the side carpet from honda if it's not crazy expensive. Update 12/22/15 Everything is here now, I will start working on the box here soon. Box has been built, 2.3cu, 33hz tune. 2010 Honda Civic LX / Deck: Kenwood DDX371 / Front Highs: Crescendo RTS-1 / Front Mids: Silver Flute 6.5's / 4 channel: DC Audio 90.4 / Sub: Fi 15in SP4v2 / Sub amp: Taramps HD 5000 / Power wire: Knukonceptz OFC 1/0 / Deadener: Audio Technix 60 mil / Batteries: XS Power D5100R / Rear bank: TBD / Alternator: Singer 240a hairpin
walwalka
Update: 02/22/16 Got the box carpeted, and all finished ready to be installed. Started on the floor for the trunk, all going to fastened down with threaded inserts. The middle piece will be a press fit piece that I will hopefully be able to knock out this weekend. It's going to be somewhat cold, So we will see. Wanted to get more than this done, but I ran out of daylight and I do everything outside. Update: 02/22/16 I got a lot done this weekend, as of now it's playing I just need to finish the floor. The door to cover the spare needs to be built yet, I have to figure out how to brace the middle so it will hold the weight. Little sloppy right now, I thought I had some 4ga left over. Little did I know that it was cut into 4-5 12in chucks lol. Placed an order with Knu, should be here soon Overall, it sounds a lot nicer than the last setup and for the car it is plenty loud. Not having to have a rear battery is nice. UPDATE 03/09/2016 Got the rest of the floor built, I just need to put the handle on the door and carpet. Once that is done, I'll build a small amp rack to hold the amps a little more upright and give me a little more space. I'm very impressed with the output compared to previous builds. Having some trunk space is amazing!! All of the wiring is ran and ready to go, here is the list of things right now I need to do: Build Box Build false floor with door for spare tire Carpet spare tire door Build amp rack Build battery box Assemble 2010 Honda Civic LX / Deck: Kenwood DDX371 / Front Highs: Crescendo RTS-1 / Front Mids: Silver Flute 6.5's / 4 channel: DC Audio 90.4 / Sub: Fi 15in SP4v2 / Sub amp: Taramps HD 5000 / Power wire: Knukonceptz OFC 1/0 / Deadener: Audio Technix 60 mil / Batteries: XS Power D5100R / Rear bank: TBD / Alternator: Singer 240a hairpin
