Fiat Panda Super Street 1-2 Build - Updated 30/03 160dB++

Recommended Posts

Decided i would start a build thread about my current competition build for 2016.
This will be my second year competing in DbDrag, and i decided i would do a bigger build than i had last year. So, i began by getting the best car i could for the job, an old Fiat Panda from 1988B)
The box will be a simple ported wall at the B-pillar. The current plan is to build a steel framework out of square steel piping and adhere steel plates or wood to the framework, depending on weight.

The car when i bought it.

Goals:
The main goal with this project is to have fun and learn (as this is my first wall build).
Another goal is to keep the car drivable and fully road legal.
The car should play 160+ when done :yahoo:

Equipment:
Headunit: Alpine CDA-137BTi
Subwoofers: Digital Designs Z318 1,5ohm coils x 2
Amplifiers: B2 Audio Zero.1 x 2 (maybe 2 more later)
Batteries: TBA
And ofc a lot of cable :)

The build will commence asap as it need to be done by Easter for our first multipoint event.

Got some work done this weekend, the sidewalls are done and i have also started on the rear wall.

Testing for clearance, could make it 65cm tall before touching the window.
