Jhunt94
I have a 2016 mustang that I recently purchased, and I am intent on doing an sq setup in the car. I'm not really sure as to how I need to go about picking which speakers I need to replace. The car originally came with 9 speakers. In each door there is a 6.5" mid and a 3" mid, tweeters in the A pillars, a 3" mid in the center of the dash, and two more 6.5" mids in the rear deck. I have several options that I have been thinking about, and want to throw them out and get some feedback. Option 1 - 1 6.5" per door - 1 3" mid per door - 1 tweeter per a pillar - no center dash mid - no rear deck mids Option 2 - 1 6.5" mid per door - 1 3" mid per door - no tweeter - no center dash mid - 2 6.5" mids in rear deck Option 3 - 1 6.5" mid per door - no 3" mids in door - 1 tweeter per a pillar - no center dash mid - 2 6.5" mids in rear deck Other options are gladly welcome. I'm really new to the whole sq side of the car audio world. I've done some research, but I'm not to proud to ask for help when it comes to something like this. 2007 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab. Skullz
First you want to decide on the numbers of speakers you are going to use, and then you want to play with speaker placement which can take a fair amount of time to get right. You'll want to tape the speakers in various locations to get an idea on how well it will image and sound so you have less work to do in processing. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Jhunt94
I guess I might should have said this earlier. I want to utilize the stock speaker locations, because I just got this car a couple weeks ago and don't feel comfortable cutting up panels. 2007 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab. 3vil
Then option 1 would probably be the best bet. Plus sound deadening the front doors.
ToNasty
Why not order a pair of a pillar plastics. So then if you.need.to put the car back to stock, swap out the speaker pillars for the stock ones ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
Jhunt94
Why not order a pair of a pillar plastics. So then if you.need.to put the car back to stock, swap out the speaker pillars for the stock onesAfter you mentioned the tweeter and mid in the a pillar, I actually did try to find some pillar plastics. I'll have to do a little more searching, and deciphering of ford parts websites. I'll probably either do that or just go with option 1. 2007 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab. MotorCityFats13
https://parts.autonationfordwhitebearlake.com/ but they have not listed 2016 as an option at this time but this is the site/dealer that just about all the members over at the other ford based forums I belong to use... you will not find better pricing from real ford parts unless you have a connection at a parts counter

Thank you, that website is so much easier to use. Also the 2016 is the same body style as the 2015, so it should fit. 2007 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab. White Lightning
First thing I would do is upgrade to an 8" driver per door. Leave the rears alone and just fade to the front. Work on those at a later date. Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? Try Here ...
