CoreyB541
I own a 1995 Ford Taurus 3.0. 130 amp alternator. I am wondering how many watts I'm actually good for? XS D3400 under my hood in a couple weeks. 1/0 Awg Silver tinned OFC Big 3 as well. Eventually moving to a Mechman 240.
Jduncan15
From my experience a lot depends on if you are constantly stopped and slamming your system or usually moving and keeping the rpms up. My stock alternator can easily keep up with my 900 watt peak amplifier.

afrakes
From my experience/readings I would never put more than 1000-1200rms on a stock battery/alt combo. Could (probably) push that a bit with a good battery/bank of batteries, all dependent on your rpms while playing. Each car is different, there is no sure fire answer. Keep an eye on your voltage and don't be stupid. CoreyB541
SAE-1000v2, 2 Ev2 12s D4, Idk if I have any power to spare for mids and highs at this time. Would like to do an SAE-50.4... Bank will be built over the next few months. I'm trying to build up my electrical so I can move up to some SA series on 2k. This particular car's trunk definitely squashes my bass. Doing deadening right now.

Definitely not the most efficient amp. I sold my rockford stuff to go sundown. I used to have dimming but figured out that some jackwagon had painted every surface of the battery terminals. 5 minutes of sanding ended it.Buying new ones next week.
