noobslayer77
kenwood kdc 997. freezes and screen wont work. Music keeps playing. Cant turn it down or access any menu without popping the faceplate out and back in. (this only used to happen with heavy bass, but has now become an issue with any vibration, like driving over a bump.) I was considering throwing a tiny bit of solder on the 3 brass/copper connection strips on the faceplate to make a more solid connection to the rest of the HU. I pulled the whole unit out and checked all my connections in the back and theyre solid. Any ideas/ is a bit of solder a good idea? 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries

DubNDodge
x994 did that. you hit it hard or the right freq would turn the faceplate off. I'd just smack it and it'd boot back on. It still would play even though the faceplate turned off.
