CAB-1600.1 tested by Big D, surprisingly good results for a 200 dollar amp.

The tests went as follows:

  • 2 ohm certified: 1155 @14.05v
  • 2 ohm dynamic: 1303 @14.31v
  • 1 ohm certified: 1532 @14.52v
  • 1 ohm uncertified: 1936 @13.79v
  • 1 ohm dynamic: 2279 @14.14v
  • .8 ohm dynamic: 284 [email protected]
  • .67 dynamic: 3148 @14.24v

Musical dynamic tests (using a song, not a test tone)

  • 1 ohm: 2398 @14.64v
  • .67 ohm: 3581 @14.7v
  • .5 ohm: 4081 @14.13

I was thinking about getting one of those but decided against it I think what threw me off is the board looked a little cheaply made to me I don't know much about amp internals though so I was just kinda guessing.

The guts look fine to me, what really matters is what brand the caps & fets are, as well as the thermal rating on the caps. Either way, looks like a steal to me. The reason it looks cheap inside is because it uses a no nonsense PCB, no sense in making things pretty if 99.9% of people aren't going to see it.

Don't trust a shop but you personally just smoked two decks, makes sense.

Anyone have pics of the internals I can't find the ones I saw before I think it was from facebook when I search it on Google images a half covered pic comes up then another of a completely different board.

If you're looking for clean, well damped power... you aren't gonna find it with that amp, but you'll find power none the less.
