The XS website doesn't have a selection past the year 2012 and using the 2012 version of my truck leads me to a D6500 for a starting battery. Am I wrong or is my option for a starting battery from XS nearly $500?? $500 for a single battery is a fucking tough pill to swallow...

Yeah, noob mistake on my part. However what I really want to know if that is in fact the right battery for my truck. Have I just been cursed with an expensive battery in the front of my truck?

What truck do you have? you could always measure your current battery and compare specs to the D6500

D6500 was the size for my 97 explorer, and D3400 is the size for every GM SUV/Truck in the last twenty years, so I'm sure ford probably is the same

Edit: same as in D6500 being the correct size for ford SUV/Trucks over the years

2013 f150. I can go measure, didn't think about that.

It should say what BCI group your battery is on the outside. If it's G65, the D6500 is what you want.

Don't trust a shop but you personally just smoked two decks, makes sense.
