Larry BigCountry
for a system with 2) 3k rms amps will the DD1+ be overkill? Will the DD-1 be just fine for a simple system? (All electrical upgraded including wires.)
RooTxBeeR
I am pretty sure the DD1+ is for high voltage systems and amps that are over 6k-8k in power? Someone correct me if I am wrong. Someone correct me if I am wrong. That's the dd-1hvThe dd-1+ allows you to see and set gain overlaps in realtime. audiofanaticz
The dd-1+ has the same circuitry to handle the larger amps such as the dd-1 HV (high volt), along with a more advanced gain overlap setting instead of just using 3 specific tracks like the dd-1. Both the dd-1+ and dd-1HV are good up to 40,000 watts @ 1ohm. The normal dd-1 would be fine, and is good up to 15,000 watts @ 1ohm. Is the dd-1+ overkill for your system? Simple answer is no, if it was that means the normal dd-1 would be overkill too. The dd-1+ just has more features and you dont got to change tracks which is quicker than running back and fourth when tuning amps, and has a cool little lcd display. Cant really go wrong with either of them. All depends on what you want to spend.
