cjcastillo240
Im trying to pull off a hairtrick with a single sundown x18. I used the box that sundown recommends on their website. It sounded good but didn't do the job. Then I tried making a 4th order, and that didn't sound good at all. Looking for some help.

It sounded good but didn't do the job. Then I tried making a 4th order, and that didn't sound good at all. Looking for some help. I've been wondering this myself. Wouldn't it be easier to do hairtricks using a sealed box, a single reflex bandpass or a front loaded horn? IE, if you have a design that compresses the air in the car, it seems like it would work better for hairtricks. Again, total speculation here. I have a tapped horn in my car, and while it sounds great and it's loud, it doesn't "flex" the car the way that my single reflex bandpass did. And I'd guess the reason why is because vented boxes, tapped horns, and dual reflex bandpass can't compress the air. (Because the rear chamber in those boxes ISN'T sealed; to compress the air you have to seal that back chamber.)
