Christopher Dennis Gray Posted June 4, 2016 Report Share Posted June 4, 2016 Hey guys i have a box with 2 rockford fosgate p1 12's 500watts rms and when i listen to e-40 candlelight song they barley pound.... every other artist like psyph morrison or rittz or tech nine they pound hard.. my LPF on my amp is at 50 hrz is my system just not powerfull enough for that song? Sean Sinha Posted June 21, 2016 Report Share Posted June 21, 2016 You've got your LPF set a bit low, try bumping to 60Hz so the sub is playing more bass frequencies. I've got the same setup, but sealed box, in my LS400. I use a Rockford P400X1 amp that pushes 550W @ 2 OHM 14.4v and my subs hit hard with that E40 song. I crossed my Alpine CDE 164BT at 60HZ with a 12db slope and it sounds great with those P1's, cheap as they are. Alpine CDE-164BT/Rockford Fosgate P400X4 Kicker CS 6.5" Components (Front) Kicker 6.5" Composites (Rear) (Running at -10DB for soundstage) RF P400X1 Monoblock 2x Rockford Punch P1 12" 4 OHM SVC running @ 2 OHM in sealed 1" MDF box.
