Replacing antenna. Need to reprogram the remotes

Recommended Posts

Just what it says. I've got a viper 791 that the antenna or cable gave up the ghost I think. Am I going to need to reprogram the remotes in order for it to lock and unlock? I'd like to be prepared before the sirens start going off and with the volume I'd like to be quick on it.

Thank you for confirming. It's what I expected but I didn't want to take the full blast to the face under the dash if I could prevent it in someway. Sucks when a properly done alarm install has to be messed with.

Just replaced the antenna. Started working immediately. Thank you for your help. I did catch a siren blast to the face but it's done now

Yeah it wasn't fun. I've got lots of sirens and some are aimed right at where you'd need to be in order to get to the alarm. Not my idea of a good day
