Hi, I just looking for some input on my setup. To see if I can do something better with what I have.I will give a run down of what I have. System does well and gets loud. But I feel it still has more to give. Feel free to tell me what you Think would help me get the most out of this system. Thinking the box could be to small and tuned a tad to high? Thanks

I guess it depends on what you goal is. If you want to get louder overall, add power. If you want to get louder down low, tune lower and possibly make the box bigger.

In my wall, i have 6.3cu ft net per sp4 18 and they do pretty damn good on 2-2500w per sub. With your box size i would add power which may cause you to lose some low end bandwidth. even though my box is bigger, mine are still crying for more power so yours is probably similar.

How much power will they take? I have not clamped my setup, but have a few friends running the same amps as me on less eletrical clamping 3k out of the pair strapped. To be real just by eye looking at the sub And whatnot I was thinking it wouldn't take much more. In this small 5cuft box the sub is starting to have a peak in the surrounding, of you know what I mean.

you kinda hit the head on the nail. I plane to walk my hhr and put one more sp4 18 and 2 more strapped amps. But for now I was thinking builing a box around 7 cuft with 100" of port and see what it does. To be real I just had 2 DD 9500I 15s on the same power and this one 18 is ju1st about as loud to the ears. They are pretty closein sound. But the sp4 sofunds much better lower, and still tuned at 37hz

My buddy I bought my sp4's from was running 7500 clamped daily per woofer in around 7.5 cu ft net per woofer and they laughed at the power.

When I play way below tuning, I can get my subs to move like 3-4 inches lol and they still aren't maxed out. I doubt your sub is tapped power wise.

My end goal for these subs is a crossfire 8k per woofer lol

......

So what does it sound like when your subs "laughs at the power"?
