New Alt and a question...

Recommended Posts

Ok im looking at getting a HO Alt for my DD..

I got a total of 2400 rms running in my Trailblazer and wondering if a 240 amp would be enough? The stock alt is 140 and all full tilt I drop to about 12.1... Big 3 done extra bat in the rear...

Also i'm wondering anyone who uses fans to keep their amps cooler, what kind do you guys get? just a few pc fans and cut the plugs off and wire it? or do they make fans specifically for 12v?

Alt size depends on you our you going to eventually upgrade to more power ?

I would go bigger like 300 + but that's me. Have u upgraded your underhood battery. I use computer fans. look for quieter ones that push good cfm .

They do make car audio fans but expensive
