I believe it's a older amp the ones with the removible top plate and the fan built in.I'm planning on running my midrange with it. Do the older kicker amps do rated... cleanly? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. But that's not to say that newer Kicker gear isn't terrible, just not always the best value for your dollar. I have an older KX 1200.1, from around 2004-2005 I think, in my car and I have no complaints. I'd actually like to check out some of the new IQ line they rolled out recently, but there aren't any shops in my area that are large enough Kicker Dealers to carry any of them.
