Why is it so taboo for having -VS- threads? Imo,it's the experience and knowledge gained from personal use, both good and bad, that helps others make more informed decisions about a particular product. If it's the vendor conflict in question, then those vendors/brands need to reevaluate their position...reading information shared amongst enthusiasts who purchase, own and use their product seems like it would be a valuable tool to them, because they'll know what the general population is saying and make necessary adjustment and, more importantly, improvements.Product reviews are valuable, and that's what vs threads are..in actuality most of the info shared here is opinion anyway, because nobody uses the same tools and/or methods to conclude most of the tech info. Certainly we are capable of having an intelligent, open discussion that involves a variety of opinions about the equipment we use. Is a RF1000 better on a single 12 than a skar1500? That would be a vs thread, but it's just opinion, doesn't mean one is better than the other, but at least someone asking that question would read the comments and possibly be better informed before learning the hard way. Aren't we here to help eachother? Steve Meade,I respect you and your work, and I enjoy watching and learning from you..along with a ton of others here...let us talk, let us argue, let us compare & debate..create a VS room..open the door

no vs threads because they always turn into a bashing of a product or a person.
No many companies represented here to have product bashing

While I agree with you on parts I believe the issue is mainly a political one merged with lack of knowledge from most anyone that would answer the post.

I have seen a few very detailed posts reviewing products from different companies, but those posts had no subjective view on the subject. As reference a few of TaylorFade's posts.

It also varies a little by moderator/admin. The last I knew I believe AudioFanaticz is okay with Vs. threads that the products are within the same company.

I could also be wrong on everything I said, so take that with a grain of salt.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

They cause a pissing match between the members that love a certain brand, and in the past it would cause a person and their friends to gang up on those that didn't agree with the brand they liked. So they banned vs threads to knock that shit out.

Good points..and I agree the forum doesn't need bashing of any product or reps of those products/brands. Just seems like the admins could allow certain subjects to be compared and block those who insist on bashing and let the rest of us "discuss"

They turn into a shit storm. They are RARELY if ever "helpful". See, we are adults here on this forum. No need for that shit. IMHO

Im glad they are not allowed.

If you want an opinion, ask. There is no harm in that.

Last i checked, everyone is entitled to share any experiance theyve had on here, good, or bad.

Just dont pit 2 un same makers against one another in a thread. Doesnt seem like rocket science to me. :unknw:

Also, for being a member on here for about 3 minutes, id hold off on suggesting what you think needs changing. Just saying.

EDIT- soooo in your OP, you asked about brand A and brand B being on the same driver. Soooo the only person that could help you is a member thats done that very thing. Then, he could post results. Done.

You ask which is better, youll get 5 million posts of people that have one, or the other. All in different vehicles, all on different electrical, in different enclosures, just giving their opinion, and tell the others they are wrong for any number of reasons. How helpful, is that, and what was learned??? Nothing.

Agree with OP, it would need some serious moderation though but hey, make the mods earn that paycheck

There isnt a mod on here that wont allow someone asking about a sundown x differneces between a sundown v3. Thats a comparison, not VS.

Kyblack76....that makes sense..but that last part wasn't necessary really, just because I'm new here doesn't mean anything..just trying to understand the vs block.you've all made good points and now I understand it better, that was my goal. I'm not arrogant..not gonna come in here all brand new and start making suggestions on changing what you guys have..I get it now...
