Building a box for a buddy. he has a 08 4 door Silverado. he wants to keep as much space as possible so it HAS to be under the rear seats. anyway, he wants "low bass and it not sound like shit" so I'm thinking 1 12, (he "hates 10s") probably ported if I can. he listens only to rap. he is looking to keep it under $1k with sub, amp, and box. any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks yall!

Multiple 8s would most likely be your best bet firing them forward from underneath the seats.

Depending on how much room, you can do two 8s on each side (driver and passenger) and have the port in the middle where the floor bends up for the transmission.

Or do 2 8s on 1 side and the port on the other side.

2 sundown x8s and cab 1600 . . gives you around 300 to work with with the enclosure . Tune around 32

Knowing the space available would help though

I'm not sure on the room yet. I need to measure. it's an 08 chevy. so, that's all I know. x8s? those are like $540 a pop. and he wants to stay under 1k dollars

X8s are under $250. You may want to shop around more.
