Charles Phillips
Hello, I've been working on an install in a VW Passat 2013 and I used a PAC LC-1 level controller. It's my first time using it on a build and I plugged the input line into the input coming from my line out converter and turned the gain up on that and then I plugged the output into my Memphis PR-1000.1 amplifier and turned the gain up on that and tried various methods of experimenting with the filters and gain to no avail. I know the amplifier is functional and the speakers are too because if I bridge the pins in port for the official "remote gain" knob, it plays at 100% gain. Any suggestions are welcome, thank you. - 2009 Toyota Matrix Base - - iPad 64GB - - miniDSP 2x4 HD - - PPI Art a200.2 - - SoundQubed SQ-2200.2 x 2 -
SkarredSierra
First off gain is not a volume knob. Set your gains correctly with a dd1 or oscope. Second u may have gotten a bad pac lc1.
Charles Phillips
My gains are set correctly. The only thing it could be would be a defective LC-1 I believe. - 2009 Toyota Matrix Base - - iPad 64GB - - miniDSP 2x4 HD - - PPI Art a200.2 - - SoundQubed SQ-2200.2 x 2 -

Charles Phillips
I went to a pro audio shop locally and tried a separate LC-1 to no avail. The guy I'm doing the build for decided to sell that amp to someone since if it doesn't instantly work it's broken but on the good side of things, he's investing in a SoundQubed Q1-1200.2 so he can use a remote that's not discontinued. I'll be uploading a build log for it soon since there seems to be a lack of VW Passat builds in recent models. - 2009 Toyota Matrix Base - - iPad 64GB - - miniDSP 2x4 HD - - PPI Art a200.2 - - SoundQubed SQ-2200.2 x 2 -
tprphish
Not to thread jack but im also having an issue with the bass knob..I have a soundqubed 4500..hooked it up.. set the amp up to soundqubeds instructions on their site..so when I was using the knob..I was disappointed in the output..so I tried disconnecting the knob, the bass got louder..what could cause this? RooTxBeeR
Why would the dude sell the amp before he knows absolutely anything about what is wrong. Bypass the LC-1, see if things work without it. ShadeTreeMechanic
What line output converter are you using? Maybe it's bad? RooTxBeeR
Yeah, test the source unit if it's giving out signal, then everything down the line to if it's still giving the same signal of.
