XS Power lost a customer today...

Recommended Posts

Man, excuse my rant, but my level of frustration is through the roof right now. Over the years over spend WELL over 8k with XS power. Over the years I've placed the following orders that I can remember. 20 D3100s, 3 d3100s and a starter D series battery for a Toyota Corolla (can't remember the model#), 1 psc60 charger with 4 d1000s, a d3400, and the reason for this thread a s3400. So you do the math in that. I can honestly say I've given them a good amount of business.

So here we go. The story starts with a d3400 that went into my 07 TBSS. I'll start off by saying that I rarely drive this vehicle, so the majority of the time it's parked. My first issue was with the d3400 it's lost voltage and when I called XS they said they couldn't do anything to help me because I didn't have proof of purchase for the battery. I believe I bought it from jegs or summit racing. So I accepted the loss on that one because I couldn't prove where i bought the battery. So the guy at XS told me if I purchased the battery though them they'd keep my purchase info on file incase any warranty issues arise. I told him I didn't have a heavy load on the battery, i don't have a system on the blazer everything's stock, so he recommended a s3400. I ordered my s3400. I go to turn on the truck after a while of not having driven it, and the battery is dead. This thing was reading 0.6 volts after weeks of not using the car. I call XS power this morning and they told me they aren't covering it due to negligence. What the hell was the point of making me buy the battery through you guys if at the end of the day you guys were going to tell me to gfy. Looks like I'm done giving my hard earned money to XS. I'll stick with an autozone battery for the blazer, and when the time comes for a big build I'll definitely be choosing another company's products.

Excuse my typos the level of rage and the fact that on my phone are the cause for them.

Are you SURE there's nothing wrong with your vehicle that killed the battery so quickly? I'd be taking a look at that first and foremost.

Or go to the parts store and buy one and leave it sit for 3 weeks and see what happens. The kid making minimum wage behind the counter of the parts store won't give you any trouble honoring warranty on a 3 week old battery regardless of what you did to it.

Exactly what I told whoever I was on the phone with. They'll exchange it without hesitation. I bought from XS because i consider myself a pretty loyal customer, but I I had been wanting to try juice box for a while. This just gives me an excuse to run JB for any future builds.

How does XS power know the battery damage is from negligence without you shipping it back to them?

It seems there is something up with your trucks electrical maybe there is a constant draw somewhere

I remember chickens caddy needing all new XS power batteries for some unknown reason other than it sat for a month

But there was a possibility the strong alarm on that truck completely wiped the batteries over time since there was no charger on them

Whoever is saying there might be something wrong with my truck, who knows there may be, I'm not completely blaming XS for this, but to pretty much tell me to gfy did it for me. What's the point of spending money on shipping a heavy battery for them to tell me that they're not going to cover it. "They only cover manufacture issues." Edited by baron_of_bass

I'm not going to comment much on your issues with XS, that's between you and them and they should have at least talked a bit on what possible issues could be, but going from charged to 0.6v in 3 weeks tells me something is draining the hell out of your batt. Something is staying on when you turn it off and you are for sure going to have this issue whether it's and XS, juice box, or any other brand.

That's bullshit.

If your truck was the cause it is likely you can recondition the battery and bring it back to life. Give it a like a 1 amp charge, it should come back if the truck drained it.

I really hope an XS rep chimes in here.

I left something plugged in on my bank and it drew 30 amps for 168 hours total and my batts were down to .6 volts for the whole bank.

Threw it all 12 batts on a 25 amp charger for a day and a half and actually they sit better now than they did before.

If I were the OP I would throw it on the PSC 60 and watch it come back.

If not I'll be happy to purchase your "dead' batt

I threw it on the psc60 but since the voltage is so low it reads "standby" they told me I can trick the charger by charging the s3400 with another battery (daisy chain), they said it would take about 3 weeks to recondition it, but more than likely that batt is as good as dead.
