Why aren't I loud

Please tell me why i don't seem that loud (outside of the vehicle). First off i don't really have a point of reference i haven't ever had the pleasure of hearing a car with a similar system so it could be on par for the equipment I have i'm just not sure. In the front on 150 wrms total i have two 4x6 coax and 4 tweeters (not including the ones on the 4x6's) and 4 2.5'' mid-ranges. also up front 2 6.5'' mid range on 200 wrms each. In the back I have 2 6.5'' midrange on 150 wrms each, 2 6.5'' woofers on 75 wrms each and 12 tweeters. also have 2 2'' horns rated 75 wrms each in the bumper and a temporary 250 wrms 15 inch subwoofer. The rms rating of all of my full range amplifiers is 950 wrms i feel like it is more likely that i get 800 wrms though (90 amps in fusing) none of this includes the subwoofer. It is all on 4 awg wire and one agm battery with a h/o alternator and a large amount of capacitance. no deadening. I will be adding much like a bigger wire later but i would expect it to be louder now. I have not metered it. It is loud enough to cause actual pain inside the vehical and make your ears ring from about a 3 second exposure but i t just isn't loud outside you can comfortable stand within 5 feet with all the doors open.

Just a guess without much thought put into it but could the lack of dampning be the cause?

Energy being absorbed by vehicle interior instead of dispersed as sound waves?

Not sure if high frequency sounds act like that though :unknw:

Just letting you know, your ears are probably ringing after 3 seconds because you have so many tweeters. I've been in 160+ demo cars for 30+ seconds and not had any ringing. Just my two cents.

I mean, i'm no expert and could be wrong but that's just my thoughts. I know that higher frequencies tend to make my ears hurt more than the sub frequencies. Maybe try putting less power to your army of tweeters and see how that does you. As for hearing you outside the car, are you wanting to hear the mids/highs or the bass or both?
