crownvictoria31
So i just found out that my amp has a mind of its own?????? So as im trying to figure out a hiss/static and popping noise, i am playing around unplugging rca's, switching them over, trying different rca's and even adjusting the amps gain. So with the rcas in place, i lowered the level on the lanzer amp and nothing happen. With the level on zero, theres still loud music going thru. Whats up with that? crownvictoria31
Maybe this is whats causing my hissing noise and popping noise when volume is put at 0. I cant adjust the level on this amp. Its like set at over half. I turn it down and its still playing pretty loud. If i turn it up, i can get alittle more sound but not that much. This is weired and i have never delt with something like this.

crownvictoria31
This is my 1st time spending over 300 on a amp and this is what i get. So many good reviews and ive herd these amps in person and was impressed. This sucks.
crownvictoria31
Thinking about replacing the lanzer now. Looking for a a 2 channel that can run at 2ohms per channel for my pwx10 as i have them wired down in 2ohms per pair. Really not looking to re-wire the speakers but if i must then ill pick up a 4 channel. Recommandations please. Thank you all
crownvictoria31
Ok so after more testing this is the issue with the lanzer amp. So the amp with volume in 0, there is music still being herd and its pretty loud. If i crank up the volume on the amp to max, i still get volume but not alot but noticable. Another issue i just found is that the left channel sounds way louder then the right channel. This amp is nuts. Now im wondering if its a easy fix. Broke_Audio_Addict
There is no volume knob on an amp. Are you turning the head unit all the way down and still getting sound out? My guess Is you have something wired wrong. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Broke_Audio_Addict
The gain isn't a volume knob! What is the head unit volume at when you're doing this?
