Currently I have one 1/0 wire coming from my positive battery terminal and one 1/0 wire coming from my negative battery terminal. Is this enough runs to run the fosgate 4000 watt amplifier and what size fuses would I need. I have a 250 amp alternator and was also wondering if I were to run all yellow tops, how many would I need.(how many runs from the positive battery terminal, what size fuses and how many yellow tops) Thanks

I think you would need at least another run of 1/0. I think i remember steve saying his pull almost 500 amps. depending on the 1/0 you might need 2 more runs.

Could you use a better battery then having a yellow top battery for the fosgate 4000 watt amplifier? What battery would you suggest to get?

they need alot of battery,i have 16 kinetik 2400's for 5 T4000's and its still not enough.

This is what I have powering a pair of t4000.1's (.7ohms each)
300amp Iraggi
5 SVR 100's (ol schoo)
2 runs of + and - front to rear and frame grounds underhood and in trunk

a d3100 would power a single t4k imo
if you were to go with yellowtops you would need 4-5of them (stay away from Optimas they suck)

The amps come with 500 amp fuses, dont they? I am pretty sure to make nearly 5kw they will pull a shit ton of amperage.

yes they come with 500a fuses. The amps pull 400a max though.

Or could I just add another run with a 200 amp fuse on it? I already have one run with a 300 amp fuse.200+300=500 amps

Both ideas should be fine. Will need a T oy y connector to make it all work! Fuse protects the wire! Not the amp!

i have a yellowtop (up front) and 2 kinetik 600s (in the back) hooked up to my T4k
