i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

when you mod an amp, you are taking an extreme risk. It voids the warranty (if any) and its easy to smoke if you touch those wires like you did..your entire board could be bad. (dont feel too bad i did the same thing before) :D

Sorry for your loss man.

So thats what my modded 1501BD is going to look like if I screw up.

Like I said sorry for your loss.
Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.

Boon: Don't get hung up on specs like xmax. It's probably the third-most lied about spec, after power handling and sensitivity.

"Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go."

was the fact I won't get to find out whats going to happen tomorrow if I die today.

We use to call them Chicklets! lol Some times they would only split a little and the amp would still work until you hit it full tilt then you better be ready to blow it out!!!!
One of the most outragous thing I seen with these was a deathmatch at USAC finals with Tommies van and Greg Cobbs old van in it! Nothing like watching about 84 of of those things going up in flames in about 30 sec.!

A word of caution, don’t drink tequila before a death match. 3 of us split a bottle of Cabo Wabo and it cost me 33 amps and 12 subs. I can still remember that smell. That was my last competition…. What a way to go out.

RFFANATIC do we know each other?
