What a maximum low level inputs (rcas) voltage? Read the RF owners manual it wasn't in there.

you should be fine. just dont crank the gain. all the extra voltage means is you may be able to get a complete sinewave at no gain (possibly clipped too) think of it as installing a new head unit into a car with a factoy amp and the cd player as pre amp only. Half the people that do so crank it to hell and blow everything up. the other half have no issues

I know clipping at 0 gain is not what I want lol....I don't have an oscilloscope and noone around here has one unfortunately.

you wouldnt be the first and def not the last. Also you have to remember the clipping might only be there at the very top of the wave at ver high volumes on the HU.... most hus that are rated at 5v only put 1.3 or something at normal/ high volume

Well I was wanting to run that HU (cd7200mkII 8v out...or the cd3200 5v out...)

Its can't have only a 4v input...the 360.2 has an output of 5v...

while running a higher input voltage isnt recommended that doesn't mean you cant do it. I'm using a 5v hu and all 3 inputs im using have to be turned up to get the clipping light (often to get the signal light as well)

what that means is the pioneer gives out 5v playing a sine wave with the volume all the way up (often clipped) but on music at normal listing volume it doesnt. Same thing with an amp wattage but you should still try to match these numbers when choosing your equiptment. But it also means if your not retarted you can get away with a lil extra. good example is meade's 4000w amps and 2000w subs

T8004 rated at 99wrms @ 4ohm x 4 on PG RSd rated at 60wrms.....My gain is at about half maybe a hair more deck volume 46 just to get my RSds even a little loud....I would use a DMM but with no1 to hold a light and it getting dark by the time I get out of school....its kinda hard to set gains.

edit: and 46 out of 62 is just a lil under 75% deck volume.

i thought it was just only half ways of your volume gain so you dont distrot nothing.
