Before the merge with rockford??? I saw this bad ass looking amp and eq from the late 70's - early 80's and it got me wondering about it's past... hope I dont get in trouble for posting the link, but this is major history right here!!! It aint mine, I just saw it and thought others might enjoy looking and talking about it's history!!

not before the merge but before it became rockford fosgate. Jim fosgate build RF from the ground up hence the name fosgate. im not sure where the rockford part came from but rockford corp is located on rockford street, road, drive.. or whatever
