There only rated up to 1000rms, so putting double that on them. I would say no.

never go by max specs, always try to go by RMS, and even then most amps are overrated and will only do 3/4ths of the power, sometimes even 1/2 the power it claims. and never ever go by max power...

its gonna push it hard but it should be fine. just keep on the lookout for distorting/bottoming out/funky smells. kickers usually dont just pop, they give you a bunch of warnings.
Build: http://www.stevemead...hl=avalon build
monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

1000rms sub 1000rms amp its not really that hard to understand honestly

Its kinda funny how people just can't seem to grasp this idea isn't it! :help: LOL exspecially the people that know and understand what RMS is. :p

Edited by ISO, 22 December 2009 - 07:40 PM.

Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.

A cap is only good if you have 0 voltage loss and want to clean up the power at the peaks of the ripples..

Boon: Don't get hung up on specs like xmax. It's probably the third-most lied about spec, after power handling and sensitivity.

"Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go."

was the fact I won't get to find out whats going to happen tomorrow if I die today.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Do a search for how to set gains with a dmm, if you don't have one ask a friend to help you out. If all else fails take it to an audio shop. If your amp is 1krms you should be fine anyway. If you don't feel like doing any of the above, set the gain to half and don't fux with the bass boost (if applicable) knob.
