Just was curious if a kicker L7 can handle 2k watts.

There only rated up to 1000rms, so putting double that on them. I would say no.

There only rated up to 1000rms, so putting double that on them. I would say no.

The amp is 1k rms 2k watts

never go by max specs, always try to go by RMS, and even then most amps are overrated and will only do 3/4ths of the power, sometimes even 1/2 the power it claims. and never ever go by max power...

its gonna push it hard but it should be fine. just keep on the lookout for distorting/bottoming out/funky smells. kickers usually dont just pop, they give you a bunch of warnings.

1000rms sub 1000rms amp its not really that hard to understand honestly
