My name is Javier and i´m a "noob" member from Panama, i´m new on this forum but a very old member in a lot of international forums. I´m a Venezuelan living at Panama (F... You Chavez). Well, to the point!! I´m proud to be the Panamenian National champ on 149.9 Bass Race class, i did that with a Suzuki Swift 2K9 little toy car and only 3 10" subs, but the swift got me boring and i bought this explorer just for Comps and fun,main goal it´s low 50´s on the TL and 149.9 score on the same bass race class, and the swift, well, i´ll start a thread later of a wall i´m gonna start very soon i hope. Sorry for all the long and boring story, i present you , THE SEXPLORER!! This Truck was bought and semi-build in only 2 weeks just for 2 people, my best friend and I (he did more than me LOL), it´s not finished yet of course... Subs: 4 DD´s 2512 HU: Alpine 9886 Mids: 4 ZOMAX 8" mids on the doors Highs: 4 HP Audio 150 rms bullets on the doors Amp for the subs: Cadence ZRS-C6 for the moment, SD8000.1 coming soon Amp for the mids: Almani 1100.2 Amp for the highs: Powerbass 400.4 Current: Kinetik HC1800 under the hood and 2 Kinetik HC2400 on the back Wires: 2 runs of 1/0 + and - Alternator: Stock for the moment, Iraggi 260 amps next month i hope Not bad for a 3K car IMO, a/a and everything works nice, only 90K on the clock Seats out!! This part of the process made me wanna puke haha, condoms, coins, french fries even some kind of animal dump :S Before: After: All the runs to the back batts getting to the spot. On that pic, i had to fill yet that hole. Wires on the front, still missing the new batt and fuses. Here i am, getting the wires under the car and then inside, if you ask yourself why i did it that way, well, more confortable and easy that having a hard time getting them thrue the firewall, and since this is a piece of junk i bought for fun, who cares drilling some holes? i love them haha. At last in the car A pair of Kinetik HC2400 on the back, there´s no rack for them yet because i´m not done playing with the box, until that moment, hey´ll be like this, i don´t use the car for daily driving so there´s no problem NOO!! Welcome to the forum Hey m8, thanks a lot dude, there´s a lot of things missing yet, i installed the HC1800 under the hood, i need my alternator, still building the door panels, i need to install my mids/highs amps (using a jbl 75.4II right now) but hey, we did all this in barely a week for a show, wich in by the way, we took first place on 149.9 bass race class, i don´t even know yet what she scores on the TL burping, i hope we´ll know soon, here you can see a Vid of this car, let me tell you, it´s louder than i coould imagine with onle 3000 watts, i haven´t even played with the box, once again, thanks for the comment and welcome By the way, i already bought another camera, so don´t be angry about the audio of this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inCYUMy_QlA I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Thanks a lot my friend, i´m very happy with the result right now, it´s a small box with a giant port to get a good score, but to do that i need a lot of power wich i don´t right now, i´ll have it very soon i hope The dampening material is from Ecuador haha, you can find it here very cheap, i got a single layer on each door and 2 layers on the roof, and i spent about 70$ haha, works great, is from a company name Chova, the name of the product is alumband, not even close to a damplifier or dynamat quality, but i don´t have that kind of money Looks good. Can't see it in the pics or not, is it an SOHC? How close are your wire runs to the exhaust manifolds?
