hit up this link to see what they said about it!!

http://caraudiomag.c...ubwoofer-review

its pretty much what i expected. He talks about the SQ at low volumes being "so-so" but as the power increased it was MUCH better. Thats what i figured with a woofer that is conservatively rated at 3500w. We all know its not an SQ driver but as long as Vance says it sounds good at HIGH volumes, thats good enough for me. Thats how i feel about it as well. I wouldnt buy the SMD if i was looking for just a small, low powered system geared towards easy listening, but if you like loud AND you want it to sound good, then its not a bad choice :)

read up, its a long review!

just finished it up. its kinda weak how they dont give him enough power to play with it. like taking the fat kid to the buffet and restricting him to the salad section with the small plate .

In my opinion that is like taking a top fuel rail car and giving it a review compared to a luxury car...

good review yes. Great review no. Even Vance said he would have liked to see it at its rms level but they didnt have the power on hand . Wasnt his fault though the SMD is out of their normal scope of woofer they review.

I have to agree with the other guys. Taking the SMD and testing it on 1100 watts per coil (which is like 1/3rd of what Steve gives his) is kinda weak. I really wish they had stepped up and at least given it full RMS rating. I'm sure they were impressed but I was disappointed by that part of the review. They did have lots of good things to say about Steve and AA though :yahoo:

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

it was an OK review -

i mean they had lots of good things to say, didnt have the equipment to test it the way it needed to be tested.....but overall it wasnt too bad.

DB Don is got one for review. I'm sure he's going to be able to thrash that thing a good bit and has the knowledge to write a good review.

Exactly why I did not say great review :drink40:

If you think about it they said SQ was better with more power but they were under powering it, now if they would have gave it rated power the SQ would have been better at lower volume.

It was a great review Steve congratulations. I have been contemplating buying the "beast" this review pretty much sealed the deal. I am really looking forward to seeing how Ben's build turns out. As of now I am saving up to step up my game ahhahahaha. When I do make the purchase I wouldn't mind doing it through you. That way I can get one with some silver scribbles on it. Its gonna be a month or two before I can do it but as of now this will be the woofer in my ride. :drinks: :drinks:

Give him a offer for a soundreview from Steves Tahoe. Must not be this big like this big, but another half or full site of review in the CA&E, can clear the open questions of full tilt. I know readers like it to get a second review to get a complete opinion of an item.

What i like, is waht he says about the constructions who can be better, like the idea threw bolted connectors.

Ha Steve we posted topics almost the same time, His review is kinda the same things I am seeing except a few things are different on the 15 so that changes a bit. But so far this is the top daily 15" sub woofer I have had my hands on if you got the power for it. more later..

Good review. Definitely needed to give it more power, it was very educational read too. So if i read it right Scott owns AA and Fi?

"The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -- (Thomas Jefferson)

"Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence ... From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that is good" (George Washington)
