current setup: stock battery under the hood,diode isolator 250amp,1x kinetik 1800(80amph) and 1x exide batt (90amph) on 1x jbl1500.1 and 2 small speaker amp...voltage is between 14.2 to 12.8 depending on bass drop last setup: exact same thing exept the exide batt was not there,it was an powersonic (55amph) and voltage was able to go up to 14.7.8,but was dropping to 12.4.3 if bass was too hardcore i tried removing the diode isolator and put the exide(90amph) under the hood with the rest in parallel at the back...voltage was barely up 13.8.9,but with heavy bass drop,voltage was only going to 13.4.3 way more stable,but not as high as the 14.7 origine... can anyone figure wtf about it? i know my shitty alt put out only 70amp,so i think he can't charge those big battery enough to go to 14.7,but can do half hes job...i don't know.... im looking for an extra alt,but i wonder if i need more battery too!!!! an my atomik 5k is not even installed....that will suck so much power!!! what sould i do??? remember that im in canada,quebec,so i don't have acces to all your powerfull sexy battery at a reasonable price here

i think for some people,it may be an good $$ move...let me explain... i got a agm batt new for 60$,but cant find an other one at that price...and i need the 2 battery....what can i do if i dont have this isolator??nothing... 2 agm batt cost like 200$ each minimum in canada,so 400$... and i got an battery isolator diode(60$) and agm batt(60$) for 120$... for the same result,im maybe cheap,but i prefer to pay 120$ than 400$ for the (almost) same power,to boost up my 1000w amp...without dimming...

update time!!!!!!!! all 0/1 wire are install...less dimming,but still some.... i got a super deal for a 55ah power sonic from kijiji... 60$ for a new batt!!! and i replace my main battery with it for now...i can crank the amp at 3/4 and when the volume is at my ear level(playable dayly),it still as some light dimmed...so i went again on kijiji,to find an 200amp battery isolator from cole hersee co. for 60$ again....so lucky!!! so now im gonna put back my old batt up front,and the power sonic in the back of the truck...but i got a little confused by looking at it...there is 4 pole...batt 1,alt,batt2,and ignition...where do i get this ignition wire from??hope it not from inside the dash...is it really necessery?? i tough it was only the relay type one that had that.... where can i find this wire?

yippi!!! i just got my sky high 0/1 wire full of copper!!! damn...it's big!!! can wait to install it!!! but...i got a quetion before doing that.... what's the best way to do the wirering job?? should i solder or use the clamp or cramp to hold therminal on wire??

i know...lol what do you think about this brand?

is american bass wire any good? i know it's CCA,but for the price,i can live with that any comment about those wire from american bass? there not much review on the net about it...

for now...ill put everything on hold...havec to re-think all this... i think ill go with 1/0 wire to start...4agw seems to be limit for my system... now the billion doar question: will the cca cable will be enough or do i absolutely need full copper wire?

i found a guy in my facebook that can sell my his old optima yellow top d34/78 for 160$... should i go with it?

oh...so the old batt stay under the hood and the kenetik at the back....got it!!! so it dosent matter if they are not the same type (acid and gel) even plug together? i was worried about the fact that my old batt is 600 or 900 amp,and the new one is 1400...i was thinking that may cause an issue...

i found a kit on kijiji,150$ for a 1400 kinetik batt,20-25ft of 0awg,and a battery isolator...i think im on buisness now!!! the next thing i need to know before installing all this,is the order of the battery...should i keep the old(original) battery in front and drop the kinetik in trunk?or the opposite?? or maybe only the kinetik may be ok for the whole system? is it ok for having 2 different battery in the same system??

yep,i have the 160 amp alt...allright so ill do the big 3 in 0awg wire and add a second battery...hope this will be ok...thanks for the advise!!!

wassup boyz!!! here my setup... stock battery with stock alt... 900wrms kenwood amp and 200w pioneer amp...1x 12'' pioneer ts-w3002d4 1000wrms on the kenwood,and 2x power-acoustic 4'' at kickpanel on the pioneer amp...and 2 lanzar 320w as component in front plug in the headunit...oh and 1k capacitor the big 3 is not complete yet,only the power wire was done,and im waiting the get the wire and connector to do the rest...but i don't think it will help that much to stop headlight from dimming when system is cranked... so what's my best option??? i was thinking to do a big3 with 1/0awg wire....or change my original battery....or change the alt to an HO one....or add a second battery the setup is currently on 4g wire...but im not sure if the ground at amp is really well done... i know it not a comp setup,but im upgrading piece by piece to get a decent spl system... i know that i will probably add an other amp for the component,a 4channel,and some 6x9 and tweeter... and looking for used stuff... can i fit battery togheter even if are not the same?? so what's my best option???
