  1. not really lol. the question was not how to strap but the proper way to set the gains while strapped using the dd-1
  2. i already did that lol. when i tested the amps single 1 to each sub i set each amp with the dd-1 and to the eye both gains looked identical and when i checked with the meter thy were with in a tenth of each other . and btw i am using track # 3
  3. quick question here . the amps are the new sundown 5k so when i check the power out from the master do i need any thing else connected to the speaker out ? only reason i asked is i followed the sundown diagram on how to strapp expect i forgot to connect the negative speaker out form master to to slave and the subs went crazy lol.
  4. you are correct if i was to run each amp as a single setup but when u strap the master controls both amps . If the technology of that specific amplifier is like that, where you set all settings on master amp than yes, leave the slave alone. I lokoed past that fact when I was explaining. I was thinking of using 2 non strappable amplifiers to gain match. i appreciate u trying to help and trying to be respect full here but u obviously have never used amps strapped because all of the ones i have seen work like what i described the master will control the slave ( this is not my amplifier specific ) dc, sundown,dd,ampere audio, crescendo etc also i do not wish to experiment or assume i would rather have somebody that has actually used the dd-1 on a strapped setup post from experience . thanks
  5. u are correct once strapped the slave setting do not matter
  6. you are correct if i was to run each amp as a single setup but when u strap the master controls both amps .
  7. i have been using the dd-1 on single amp setup for a while and recently decided to go with 2 strapped so my question is do i set the gain on master and assume once strapped they will both be set correct ? i looked around the dd-1 manual and it does not mention anything about this topic.
