Ok, ill go check it out. place the probes on the negative and positive leads? Yeah it's pretty straight forward, just check the resistance of each coil. Most know how to do it but some do not. Since starting this thread was probably more work than just checking them, I was just making sure you were good to go. well I honestly didnt even think about using a DMM, I just figured they had markings on them or something.

thanks guys, I just didn't know if there were any special markings on the magnet or anything like that.

unfortunately it didn't reply when I asked.

I bought a 10" sub and was told it was a lvl 2 sub, but they did not know if it was a 2 or 4 ohm. Is there anyway to tell? thanks in advance
