  1. Do you think this charger would work instead of the 7002? Description says it has an 8 step process that includes desulfation and reconditioning just like the 7002. This one is much cheaper though. http://www.amazon.com/CTEK-56-864-Automatic-Battery-Charger/dp/B006G14FK8
  2. Do you think this charger would work instead of the 7002? Description says it has an 8 step process that includes desulfation and reconditioning just like the 7002. This one is much cheaper though at only $68 shipped. http://www.amazon.com/CTEK-56-864-Automatic-Battery-Charger/dp/B006G14FK8 There's also this Barrett-Jackson version of model #40-026 which also has the 8 step process for $55 shipped. http://www.amazon.com/CTEK-MUS-Barrett-Jackson-Battery-Charger/dp/B00L83FI6E/ref=sr_1_53?ie=UTF8&qid=1452489379&sr=8-53&keywords=ctek+battery+charger
  3. I haven't given up quite yet. I put a message into XS Power and I'm hoping to hear back from them tomorrow on what they think I should do.
  4. So I can connect it to just 1 battery and it will charge them both accurately? I don't have to charge 1, then take it off and charge the other correct? Sorry I'm not super educated on this, I just want to make sure my next set of batteries lasts if I have to buy two more.
  5. If I have 2 batteries ran in parallel under the hood, I would need to buy two chargers right? The Battery Tender I have right now has two sets of charging leads which has made things nice and easy.
  6. I got the batteries tested at Pep Boys and they both failed. I had cycled each of them once and they were each above 12.6 when they put them on the tester. Anybody know what the numbers on the slips mean exactly? Battery 1 Battery 2
  7. Damn those XS chargers are pricey though! Not sure if I should invest in trying to bring these batteries back to life, or just buy 2 new batteries and treat them with more respect.
  8. Yeah I was looking at the XS Power charger and it seems like it's a lot better than the one I have.
  9. So how are you going to take it to the shop with no alt? Put it on a trailer? I have AAA
  10. Unfortunately I can't because my alternator isn't installed right now. Need to figure out if I need to buy new batteries or not before I take it to the shop to have my new alternator installed.
  11. No I just have a standard two bay Battery Tender that I got off Amazon. I don't see anything mentioned about pulse or desulphation in the manual unfortunately.
  12. I have two XS Power D3400 batteries that I've been running for the past two years. Recently my alternator went out which caused them to drain completely and sit in my truck dead for over a month. They have drained on me in the past before too when I went out of town for 2 months. I just took them out and charged them both up. Battery 1 was all the way down to 2.33v and Battery 2 was down to 4.91v. It took 3 days for each one to charge above 12.6, but now that I've disconnected the charger they are sitting way below 12.6v each after just 3 days. Battery 1 is at 11.2v, and Battery 2 is at 12.3v. They have been sitting in my garage with nothing connected to them. No power draw at all. I know they're supposed to stay at 12.6v or above. So does this mean they're done for since they won't maintain proper voltage? One of them also has a bulge in the top of the case if that makes any difference. That's the one that's sitting at 12.3v on the right in the photos. Couldn't really capture it in the photo.. This is the batt with the bulged top, hard to see in the photo though.. Battery 1 charge notes Battery 2 charge notes This is the charger I've been using battery #1 serial number is worn off unfortunately Bulged battery #2 serial number
