  1. As the title reads. My terminals can pretty much slip off these posts. What posts are a bit wider? Thanks
  2. Might add my highs and mids even sound better. Must have been starving.
  3. The pulley was slightly smaller. Belt tensioner on oem size belt was fine according to my mechanic. This alternator is BEAST with this XS battery. I dont dip below 14v on 1000ish rms
  4. Yea Ive been doing some reading regarding the belt. Hopefully the tensioner will work.. Or if a smaller belt is needed I hope one is readily available. Thanks
  5. All mechman said was a "new" belt.. Nothing about a smaller belt. Guess ill call them tomorrow... Will this alternator be OK with just the XS power d4800 under the hood on at most 1300 rms?
  6. Im hoping so. Now I need to figure out how to utilize all this power. Currently just running an Alpine mrx-m110 on an SA12 and an mrv-f300 on highs and mids. I have been thinking if an aq2200 on an Sundown x12 lol. Will be a couple months down the line though.
  7. Thanks for the reassurance. I cooked my alt about a month ago so its been a long ride up until this point. The alternator looks amazing though. I almost wish I would have gotten it a custom color or something. Getting it professionally installed tomorrow hopefully. I would do it myself but my mechanic is chargin such a little amount I might as well save myself the headache. I also purchased a Mech Big 3 kit. My D4800 should arrive from the ups guy tomorrow as well with some 580 short posts.
  8. Guess I will wait and see what my vm-1 says.. And hope I dont start cookin batteries.
  9. I just assumed it would be ok, Mechman recommended me the battery, then I read they dont like over 14.4V. It is going in a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L. My OEM alternator would rarely, if at all, hit 14.8. It was generally 14.4. I take that back, Mechman recommended XS Power. XS Power recommended the D4800.
  10. This just came in today. I also ordered an XS Power D4800. Will the Mechman charge it over 14.4V and hurt the battery? Sorry if this is a ridiculous question.. just something I hadn't considered, and I do not have a voltage control module.... This alt looks quite beastly though. Will be installed tomorrow!
