  1. Enlighten me then plz. Because every frequency clips at a different gain lvl.
  2. Lol its not the RCA's dude. These HE goes bad after a while. Its a defect especially on Pioneers. It's not like I was the only one with this problem. The solution is fixed. Its called a "ground loop" and its common. Even in home stereo installations. Anyway my only concern right now is the amount of watts I'm getting because it clearly doesn't feel like 3500 watts. Will put a multimeter on each speaker to see what ohms they are at.
  3. This video will help your confusion. Gain is about halfway I did it ghetto by using the clipping detector that came with the 3500. But it still sounds shitty.
  4. FIxed the humming noise. Noticed it right away when i turned it on today and it sounded exactly like the engine of my car. Put a speaker wire in the back of the HU into the RCA slot and it fixed it. I rewired my subs and it still doesn't feel like 3500 watts. It feels exactly the same! I know because there isn't even any dimming in my headlights, looks identical to the HIfonics amp. this is only a 130 alt thats been through 4 amps and lots of bass already.... I don't know what else to do at this point. Everything rattles but it all rattles the same as before. :|
  5. It was working before. So I dont see how making a better ground to the hu would help. I even seapped back to the Hifonics amp and it was doing the same thing which it wasnt before.
  6. They are rockford fosgate rcas they are about 5 months old. Going to clean my ground real good in a bit.
  7. Yea baseman I been looking around the forums and just found out what those extra channels are for. Will get to it when I get out of work Anyone care to give me some input on the humming noise from the subs?
  8. I had everything off and I even took out the fuse between the amp and batteries. After some research it looks like it might be my ground causing it. Its also a kenwood HU if that helps. I was told when I bought them that they can only be wired down to 2ohm and I thought thats what ive been running them at. I am using a prefab box, but already have a custom built box being built for me by DaveTheBoxGuy. Which will be here next month I am on stock alt when I plan on upgrading to a 350 very soon. Maybe I did wire my subs wrong. But how do I wire them in parallel to each other when there is a splice in the box that seperates them.
  9. I just went from a Hifonics BRX 2400 to a SAZ 3500D V2 Sundown amp. Problem is, it sounds identical to the hifonics amp. I don't hear any difference from what I can tell. Its rather dissapointing since the hifonics was around $350 and the Sundown was almost $1,000. I'm running my subs at 2ohms because they are both Dual 4 ohms. Though the box I have isn't big or spacious for these subs at, I would have thought there would have been some difference in the quality at that. On another note, I'm getting a constant "humming noise" through my subs even with the volume all the way down. I think its my rca cables and not the amp because I switched between amps and it was doing it on the hifonics as well. Just seemed to crap out between the switch which is odd, since i was bumping an 1hr before the switch. Maybe there is some mixed wiring somewhere, I'm not sure tbh. Thanks
  10. songs old and yes it does hit. but it gets annoying after a while IMO. just go to http://teddys-music.com/ and get some better up to date music
  11. thats what im thinking i have it similiar like this
  12. well, i hooked up my old amp to it and one sub came on. only because i connected one sub. so i pulled it out of the box and the subs were connected still they diddnt vibrate off or anything. so then i hooked the hifonics amp directly to the sub without the box and nothing came on. after that i hooked up my kenwood amp directly to my sub and it came on. what now...
  13. well its ot the rca cables i took the headunit out and it says output and my cables are connected at output? i will till tomorrow morning when everything clears up its raining and shit so ill just hold off till tomorrow...
  14. but look at the manual. do i need 2 rca connections with a y adapter for the input.. this thing is confuseing
  15. what ima do is hook my old amp back up and see what happens. if it works then i will be pissed.
