  1. heres a update on my build. i'm 99% done with the box, and all i have to do now is rewire the whole thing. but heres some updated pics of it.
  2. theres a couple of reasons why i did the box the way i did. one is i only wanted two subs per chamber, two i really like the look of the four up and two back. i know the phaseing is gonna be a little out. now the reason for two subs per chamber is, if i blow one i'll un power that chamber and still have two chambers working. and the other reason is money. right now i only have two sub amps. and the way its looking i aint gonna have the money for the third amp for quite a while. i have a 1000/ and a 500/1. i'm gonna run four subs off of the 1000/1 and two off of the 500/1. yea i do know that there gonna be underpowerd. but the box will be right and all i have to do is add the third amp when i get it.
  3. what do u mean on the current box or the old one. and like i said the old box was made for six subs just not the the w6's
  4. i made some progress on it this weekend not quite done but it is nearing completion
  5. harbor freight sales a pair. something like forty bucks. there almost identical to the kliens. i've had mine for about two years and they havent let me down yet. i would highly recomend them to anybody. i wouldnt use them on a daily basics but for a hobby there great.
  6. i know u. whats up. yea i'll get some more pics up. i just learned how to do the pic thing this past weekend. had to get me a photobucket account. i'll trie to get them posted up tommorow sometime.
  7. the chambers are different shape. two are rectangle and one is wedge style.
  8. need some help. this box i'm building i got the ports made for two chambers but i'm having problems with the third one. i called jl again today and he told 40 sqare inches is what 2 12w6's require. but he is very insistant on it being 30''s long. but i can not get it to fit in my third chamber. my third chamber is a wedge type. with the dimensions he gave me with the port in there i will not be able to fit both subs. any help on this please.made some progress on it today. still a long way to go with it
  9. its down below my hvac controls. i'll get some pics and post them up tonight when i get home from work.
  10. i have a 01 s10 blazer two door. lowered 2 in the front and 3 in the back. 6 jl audio 12w6 v2's, dual alt's and dual batt's. attemping to go with blacked out theme. kenwood head unit, kenwood music ked and kenwood navigation with a 7in touch screen.
  11. that box was made for 6 subs just not the w6's. that is the reason i'm building a new box.
  12. this is my current box. it was built for 4 12w3's and 2 12w0's. i had to modify it alittle to get the w6's to fit, and i only have 4 of them powered right now.
