  1. Trying to get back in it

  2. Haven't heard any of his new stuff, but I love me some OZZY, I can't believe how he does it anymore though, the way he sits there and talks and half the time has no idea where he is but then he can still put on a good show...??? crazy
  3. Thanks, I know I could have spent a little more time on the box, maybe put some truck bed liner coating on it, or carpeted it, or at least used a little filler and sanded it down a lot more but hopefully that box is just temporary, for some reason, even if I had the cash to go and build a perfect bad-ass system I still think I'd want to mess with it all the time, build new boxes, experiment with the sounds...

  5. O.K. so I don't have a job, I'm waiting for a date to go to A.F. Basic training, the only money I had was from Graduation. So I bought a $130 dollar pioneer 3200-ub head unit from wal-mart, got a sheet of 5/8" particle board, built a couple of small boxes to put the 4x10" kenwoods in than built a (outside dimensions) 14x14x21.75" box for a cheap ass dual sd12 subwoofer ($30 from wal-mart) believe me, if I had a job I'd have some decent equipment, I'm not trying to look like a dumbass and say " My shit pounds" when I'm not even running an amp, I'm just posting a couple pics. of a box I'm proud of, which I was kinda hoping someone could do a little math for me, I think it's somewhere around 1.8 ft.^3 , the port is 8x1x11.5" remember it's 5/8" wood... but anyways I've got my 4x10's hooked up to the front speaker outs and my subwoofer bridged on the rear speaker outs, I have the low pass @ 63hz or 50hz for the sub and the high pass @ 125hz for the 4x10's so It actually sounds pretty clean, it is alot loader than I or any one I showed could believe it would be without an amp , I used WinISD but the only problem besides all their sub specs being out of date is that Dual has no info on their subs except 175 rms and that its 12 in. 4 ohm single coil ... I tried to find a sub in their database that was close to the specs I had of the dual... I'm thinkin' the box is tuned somewhere around 30-35hz... but not sure, anyway, I have a couple low quality videos on youtube under my channel " HamillTheAnimal " of it playin, the camera doesnt pick up the frame rate I guess would be the word, that great but they're on there, well tell me what you think, I did all the cuts with a jig-saw, used Liquid-nails adhesive between all the joints, caulked all the inside corners, and used Krylon (ruddy brown) primer and their matte aluminum paint, Krylon doesnt cover too well but it makes up for it with it's super fast drying time... Wish I would of took more pics of the build but ... here they are, it's all I've got... * Probably should have sanded a little more huh?... lol
  6. I'm down to my last pair of contacts and don't have glasses and one of my contacts tears while I'm cleaning it... FUCK THAT Having to wear my G/F's glasses... FUCK THAT My G/F has a different prescription than me... FUCK THAT
  7. The Saints Barely beat the Vikes in OT and The Vikes had 5 turnovers.... If they can barely win in that situation than there is no way they will beat payton manning and the colts, although it would be nice for Saints to have their first superbowl win.
  8. make sure your key is in the off position, I'm sure you know that but just makin sure, cause if u got the key on and find a good wire, more than likely when the key gets turned off it will disconnect power to that wire... I think there were only 2 in my old burban that were constant, the fuse box was on the driver side under the dash and they were some where along the top..... actually there may have been more than 2, but those were the 1st two I found and used.... now I'm not sure if this is the easiest or the best way, it's just the way I found out how to do it through trial and error kinda, I'm sure there is a more common way that is used, but thats the way I did it because when I got my suburban there was no radio and no wires to be found where the radio goes, so I had to run everything my own way... I blew so many fuses because before I bought my little circuit power thingy I would just touch the wire to metal to see if it sparked and then I'd know it worked ... lol
  9. Yeah check first, It was way easier to do anything on my old suburban, with all the plastic crap and everything in each others way now days, I liked it when everything was right in front of you, and didn't have to pop of a plastic plate and the third time it breaks... lol ... but yeah, what I'm gettin at is I havent even looked at my new truck to see if its the same way, and I don't know if they have vehicles wired like that anymore, I'm sure they probably do but it's more than likely about 5 time more a pain in the ass just trying to figure out which one could possible be the constant...... oh well you could get one of those little power things , it has a ground clip on one side attached by like a 2 ft wire and the other side kinda looks like a clear screwdriver with a red and a green light in it,,, but instead of flat head or Phillips it has a piece of metal like a nail comin out, so when you touch a terminal it will either light up green or red depending if its negative or positive power running through the circuit you just created....
  10. If I'm wrong someone correct me but usually (It was like this on my old suburban) in the fuse box under the dash or wherever yours may be located, there are a couple slots that have constant power from the batt. where you can get whichever kind of terminal that will fit in that slot of your fuse box, and hook a wire up to it, I would make sure to definitely have like a 5-10 amp in-line fuse as close to the fuse box as possible even though I think there is a fuse in the box that corresponds to that power output, It's always better to be safe than have your wires get hot, catch the rubber housing on fire, drip flaming plastic on the carpet and ..... yeah...
  11. Looks damn good qu1cks1lver56 - and hell of alot cheaper too --- how many coats did you spay on??? And thanks for the input BeatBox, Yeah, I've seen a couple pics while researching all this bed liner stuff a while back where people have completely lined their trucks in the stuff, I'll probably do my bed and rocker panels with hurculiner since it looks like its just as good as any rhino or line-x job.... and I think it looks better, it looks like it has rubber granules while the professional jobs just look like a coat of rubbery paint, no texture
