I took it to an audio store not an hour ago the wattage and voltage was fine it was how the speakers were hooked up in the box, he said it had something to do with the Ohms of the speakers and the way the amp was hooked up. Amp gets warm but never to wear i cant touch it like i used to but thanks anyway guys.

I finally had my old system installed in my explorer its not anything that good, but its something and for some reason my amp is overheating im using a Power Acoustik 2600 watt BAMF 2-channel amp, and its hooked up to a 2 12 inch Kicker cvr's in a kicker pre-fabbed box. i dont know which more to put but i just need some help cause i can play my music and it hits VERY hard for about 5-20 minutes then goes into protection mode =/

There in okay shape, only thing is there cheap ones you could put them back in and they wouldnt hurt but when you build up rust in those areas id use a air hose to flush out anymore rust chips that are down there. On my old dodge truck we put new spark plugs in it but there was rust down in there and we didn't blow it out so the new ones didn't work like new.

When i purchased this ford explorer it was at night time and i didnt see the lower rust spots it has towards the bottom where a side skirt goes around the vehicle. anyway it hasn't ate through the panel yet, but what would you recommend to fix about a 2inch rust spot? Because as of right now money is tight.
