  1. it is a beast, saw it on saturday. massive motor on there~! now we just gotta get that 3.5k installed and make him a box!
  2. The Vu Din does what the RF output monitor system does, it just looks way better!! I love my Vu Din. This wm-1 looks interesting, more so how does it work..
  3. Audiofanaticz, ive been searching for the rick ross song you played in that vid for ages, shit sounded awesome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnAJxIiNLyk&list=FLqbBj7U3rdM_yHe3k3nxmQg&index=1&feature=plpp_video i guess they never got released by Pimpin?
  4. Sure a 2:1 or 3:1 will be louder, but you sacrefice bandwidth for output, a 1:1 though will still be loud. The reason im doing a 1:1 is because of limited space, and a wide range of music types, lots of decaf, dubstep and hiphop/rap. When it comes to BP's you just gotta play with it. The ratios and tuning/chamber displacement change per driver specs.
  5. The higher the ratio the peakier it will be. If you are looking for daily flat response, lower the ratio. Im doing a 1.1:1 with a platform 3 18. 3 sealed, 3.25 ported @ 45hz. 2 cubes sealed per sub is really small, do 3 cubes, maybe seperate the sealed chambers with a baffle. Mount the subs with the motors in the ported section, will aid in cooling and if ur burning coils u'll be able to smell it. 3" coils have a limit to the abuse, no matter how small the chamber is. Design the box right with as little rise as possible and you what need tones of power to be loud. So i say do 2.5-3 sealed per chamber, seperate chambers. and between 10-12 ported if you are sticking on the 2:1 ratio.
  6. wow, that is looking absolutely awesome! didnt you say there where two 2500's going on the sub? are you doing a double stacked amp rack? David
  7. just wired mine in for a test, i had to see how it looks!! please excuse the song, its the only cd i could find since all my music is on my iphone (which was used to take the vid) first SMD product to hit the middle east! - i think.. David
  8. got mine in today, a day ahead of schedual! gotta go get some wire though to hook it up, and do some fiberglassin to make it fit in nicely! will post pics/vid when finished. big thanks to SMD/D'amore for design, construction and quick shipping! David
  9. No worries man, im pretty sure you've got alot on your mind (as so do i). None taken to heart!
  10. they were SUPPOSED to be here thurs/friday last week.....looks like they will now be here this week (any day now) and they WILL be shipped the minute they arrive. I am getting tired of this, i will stop telling you guys when something is supposed to be here BASED ON what i am being told by others. I was told i would have them by last week. thats just a small hiccup though, no worries, the shit WILL ship soon....thanks! Hey Steve I've got no complaint towards you, was just curious as to the status of them. i'm pretty patient.. ill start becoming impatient once i know its on the way David
  11. Any chance of doing a list of the lucky 10? That way ill know if im on it Cant wait to get mine in and hooked up!! No email yet from WCCA or Paypal.. So i guess im in the 90's list
  12. IIRC no one has a recone kit except PSI. regular 18 inch cones dont fit in there (not wide enough or something like that) so Dave made an adapter ring for it. a split coil was not used though, and he explains why http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/fix-my-speaker/96307-2006-re-xxx-18-yep-autotronic.html
