  1. lookin for hc1400's now :/ (3)
  2. go to dcsoundlab.com and look up the woofers specifications. that will tell you the suggested ported/sealed box volume, etc
  3. ext cab trucks work great with sub up, port up enclosures. tune it to mid-low 30's due to the such low frequencies of the trucks cab.
  4. definitely go with a dc amp.. i would do two dc 2k's
  5. i'd say fire subs up, port back.. ive had better luck with the subs up in my past vehicles with no trunk.
  6. Finally about to start on the system for the cavalier front firing box sealed from the trunk looking to buy: (2) dc audio level 4 XL 12's (2) kinetik 2400's
  7. i think im going to wall the xl 12's off in the trunk and seal it, right behind the back seats.
  8. i will definitely be calling rusty about this one! and ill probably stick with trunk, instead of the wall for this build. i could always wall my next one though. --and the amp choice is because i met j00bles in college and hes runnin an aq3500 to his walled xl 18's and runs 152 on music..
  9. had my old lv4's tuned to 32, and i loved the lows. i wouldnt mind tuning that low again, as long as i could still hit my mids and highs..
  10. ^thought about it! i could run the same 3500 amp, and get 2 xl 18's, but i dont know if im capable of constructing a wall yet, i'd need a lot of help!
  11. and yes, about 4 cub feet AFTER displacement, with a sizeable port, tuned to somewhere around 38hz most likely.
  12. that diagram looks great, and d1 coils would be perfect, except i believe the aq3500 (or dc 3.5k) has outputs for multiple speakers(like two pos and two neg i think).. is there way to only run one pos and one neg speaker wire from the amp?
  13. Im buying a newer cavalier and getting ready to start the new system. I want to buy: 2 lv4xl 12's AQ 3500.1 (2) KHC1800's 220 amp alternator question is, what coils would work best if i were to run both xl 12's on the aq 3500, and how should i wire them? also, i want these in the trunk, ported, facing the back. Box should be about 4 cubic feet. Good idea? Let me know what you think!
