  1. if you want to be tuned to 35hz and 2.33cubic foot is in the specs of after displacement airspace, yep looks good to me
  2. youll have to play with the port numbers a bit, see where it says "port area range 30-40 and your "port area" is 23, you have to be between 30-40, i know a wider port willget you closer, you may have to extend the depth of the port also
  3. my whole 95 fleetwood except the floor and firewall is covered in dynamat extreme, 3 years going strong it works great...ive used fatmat in a different vehicle. it stuck everywhere i needed it to but you had to use 3 layers to do what one layer of extreme dynamat does... after 3 years the rear cab started falling off . but no where else
  4. i doubt you have everything from him but all the stuff he puts out is great...i only say you dont have everything is cuz he used to give out free custom cd's to the first 100 ppl who emailed him, after that it wasnt distributed anymore i got the 1st 3 cds
  5. ok had an unusual issue..when I first got the DD1 I checked the radio, everything flat...track 1 my number was 22, track 2 as soon as i hit volume 23 the signal light and distortion comes on so I assume my number to be "22"....I showed this several times to different ppl how it worked always came up the same I was out going through some things and wanted to redue everything and show someone how it works...I set the radio back to flat on everything, hooked the DD1 up, played track 1 and no matter what it wouldnt get a signal...turned it off and let it sit about 10 minutes...went back out and it now gets a signal and both track 1 and 2 distort at 29...how did my number change to "28" and witht the 360.2, which track to play when setting the gains for the front rear and sub on tthe 360.2 unit itself
  6. Ill do that too, I dont listen to much metal anymore, whe n im in my car its rap
  7. Makes sence now, I know all amps arent the same just thought maybe I was missing something you say set slope to such and such... Ill set the 360 tomorrow Any ide about the ''clip'' on the 360 even though I set with the DD1
  8. If I put it to ''hp'' then that will render the lp freq and q useless right.. I had already set the crossover to 100 with the DD1 and on range x1, theres no slope, or am I missing something
  9. ok, have an Alpine D310 headunit, my volume limit is 22,checked straight throught the radio RCA checked through the 360.2, turned the gains on the 360 up till distortion, backed off and good. set gain on the 125.2 sundown, used track 6 for louder system, good now no matter what CD i put in, turn to volume 22 the "Clip" light on the 360.2 comes on, any ideas also for the amp just a few settings questions. im running Boston Acoustics SR60 6.5" componets of the 125.2, the manual says "6.5 12dB/oct High Pass 125Hz" 6.5 24dB/oct High Pass 100Hz" what is the difference, some of the settings, what would be best...the subsonic should be down for my application i beleive, but what about "HPF Range" "x1 or x10" I have the amp on "Full Pass" then on the other side of the amp there is "LPF Range" "x1 or x10" then there are 3 dials "LPF" "Bass Boost" outlines the other 2 "Freq" "Q"
  10. im not jumping on anyone. just how can you say thats definatly not big enough when you can see the whole thing... so lets see with 2 6" ports, how long do they need to be. I made this box fit, ill make the ports work
  11. and 412 cvx tell me how many cubes it is seeing how you cant see the whole box
  12. ill have to put the subs in and see if i can fit a 6"
  13. theres more screws behind the front baffle too and wood glue and fiberglass resin I can fit another port on the bottom of the front baffle between the subs so say 2 4" ports tuned to 33hz, box is 10 cubic foot, just an estimate to see what i can fit here...cuz of the floor i can do a long port on the bottom unless i bend it and power I have the 1st model sundown 1500 amps. 1 per sub at .5ohms
  14. ok, been a while since I posted here. built a custom box in my 95 fleetwood trunk for 2 original loaded 18" Fi BL"s...I wont lie im not even sure of if its big enough, FI wants 5cubic foot per sub so hopefully its 10 cubic foot or close, I just went at it. its prolly 10 cubic foot anyway I need to be tuned around 33hz. I can definetly fit a 4" aeroport between the subs at the top of the box, how long does it have to be 12-16" per cubic foot 120-160 square inches i know this isnt the best scenario just get close. still being built
